What's a Pro Bono Marathon

A virtual, 2 half-days event where up to 30 professionals are paired in teams of 2-4 volunteers to work with nonprofit staff to create a customized and actionable deliverable.

Who Should Apply?

The ideal consultants for this event are professionals with 5+ years’ experience in marketing/communications. Please indicate your background in your interest statement. We are specifically looking for pro bono consultants with expertise in:
- Key Messaging
- Digital & Social Media
- Marketing & Communications Strategy
- Video Storyboarding

As preparation for this event, you will be required to attend a 1-hour training webinar in mid May, and a 1-hour kickoff call with your team and nonprofit.

Volunteers will be selected for participation based on the fit with their skillset and available nonprofit projects; please note that applying does not guarantee a spot.

Activity Overview

Taproot invites you to contribute your expertise to LA-based nonprofit partners at a Virtual Pro Bono Marathon! A Virtual Pro Bono Marathon is a full-day event in which teams of 2-4 pro bono consultants work with a nonprofit partner to deliver on a pre-scoped project. During the event, teams will dig into the nonprofit’s specific organizational challenge and create a customized and actionable deliverable.
