The project is our 225 Gives Campaign. 225 Gives is similar to Giving Tuesday but specifically for our nonprofits in the city of Baton Rouge, LA. 225 gives is held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and is a platform that helps people connect/ support the nonprofits in our area. Our organization will like help on copywriting for our direct mailer, email marketing, and social media posts.
The YMCA of the Capital Area has been serving the community with programs and services that meet the needs of the people through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Throughout our parish the Y engages more than 8,123 individuals living in diverse and underserved communities annually, and we work to nurture the potential of children, improve our community's health and well-being, and provide opportunities to give back and support our neighbors. The 225 Gives campaign is our last giving campaign opportunity for the end of the year. The money we use for this project will help fund our financial assistance/Scholarship program so that families can have to access to Y facilities, programs, swimming lessons, etc. We are starting work on this campaign now in order to successfully implement our strategy. To help complete this project we already have a team together which includes board volunteer committee to help with peer-peer fundraising, a social media specialist to schedule posts, VP of financial development, and associate of financial development. The board volunteer committee meets every other month till the day of 225 Gives.
