New Orleans Dance Collective is looking for a volunteer to research grants and partnership opportunities for the organization. We are looking to create new partnerships to continue providing dance lessons on a sliding scale for students.I have been dancing all of my life. I started dancing at age three and had hoped to go to college to finish my training, but it was not an opportunity I had as a black woman then. New Orleans Dance Collective was birth out of my love for the dance and my desire that my students will not be limited. I keep classes on a sliding scale to prevent money being a barrier for students to participate.Currently, finding new additional partnerships is the highest priority for the organization. I have been a paralegal and am excellent at research, but finding opportunities for New Orleans Dance Collective has been a challenge. I believe in the power of dance and will newer stop sharing it.
New Orleans Dance Collective’s (NODC) mission is to celebrate community and diversity by providing dance programs for inner-city at-risk youth and to positively affect behavior within a group setting.
