Project Overview
Bring Hope to Haitian Families – Hope for Haitians is looking for a Website Developer with WordPress experience to assist in the revision of our existing website. The project is underway but would benefit from additional experienced hands to bring it to completion.
Project Tasks
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Digital Marketing workgroup in the revision of content, layout, and visuals
• Apply design standards to all work on website including mobile-responsive design
• Apply standards to ensure continuity in site design and user experience.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and future developments
Experience and Qualifications:
• Experience with WordPress (Divi theme a plus)
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
• Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines
• Previous nonprofit experience is a plus
This role impacts our organization’s online visibility and outreach. Our website serves as a primary touchpoint for educating the public about our cause, showcasing our projects, and attracting new donors. You'll be collaborating closely with our Executive Director and Digital Marketing workgroup to make our site a compelling platform that can significantly influence our fundraising and awareness campaigns.
The Executive Director is the primary contact for the position. His direct involvement means that access to information, images, materials, staff, board, volunteers, and Haiti contacts can be easily arranged. The Digital marketing workgroup has experience in content writing, SEO, and analytics.
The organization has put in place a Slack and Trello account to manage communication and implementation for this and future projects. Microsoft Teams and Zoom are available for virtual meetings.
