Our nonprofit is searching for a grant writer or talented copywriter to assist our team in writing grants and providing guidance on grants that would work well for our organization.

To implement this grant writing project, we'll initially need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will discuss the overview of our organization and what grant funds would be needed for. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline with next steps that need to be competed. Next, our staff will compile a list of potential grants that we would want to apply for. In our follow-up meeting, we would like to discuss the grants that we found and get a subject-matter’s expert on which grants would be best for our organization. Ideally, we would schedule a follow-up time to write the grant. We would hope the volunteer would work with our staff on how to submit future grants using the documents that were created with this project. The project will conclude after after the volunteer and staff member have made any edits to the grant and it is ready for submission.

Connected Communities provides mental health services to youth, teens, and families in Winchester, VA and the surrounding areas. Our services are provided to those that cannot normally access mental health care or those who cannot afford it. Connected Communities also provided “non-traditional” mental health services tailoring our services to the needs of the individuals we serve. Connected Communities aims to serve the hardest-to-reach populations to serve and prides itself on working with youth in foster care, the juvenile justice system and other situations that produce complex trauma in youth and adults. We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the document that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format. (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.) We'll also send you the proposal and application guidelines.
