Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our online presence is both professional and user-friendly. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for web design, we would love to hear from you!
A well-maintained and professionally designed website is crucial for Campaign for Uyghurs as it serves as a primary platform for raising awareness, sharing information, and mobilizing support for the Uyghur cause globally. There are massive propaganda campaigns being executed by the Chinese Communist Party, and constant attacks on our work. Ensuring our website is in top shape helps us reach a broader audience, maintain credibility, and effectively advocate for the rights and freedoms of the Uyghur people. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our online presence is both professional and user-friendly, directly contributing to our mission. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for web design, we would love to hear from you!
We have long been trying to identify the issues with our website, including broken links and design flaws, that hinder our ability to effectively communicate our mission. We've conducted preliminary assessments and compiled a list of areas that need improvement. We're now ready to collaborate with a skilled volunteer to bring these changes to fruition and enhance our online presence.
Once the website improvements are complete, we plan to implement regular maintenance checks to ensure its ongoing health and functionality. We will also integrate feedback from our audience to continuously refine the design and usability. Our goal is to create a sustainable, user-friendly platform that effectively supports our advocacy and outreach efforts for the Uyghur cause.
Nonprofit Overview
Campaign for Uyghurs (CFU) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization founded in 2017 in reaction to the ongoing genocide of the Uyghur people being perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party in East Turkistan (now known as the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China). Our mission is to counter the Uyghur genocide by exposing the Chinese Communist Party, activating global grassroots organizations and civil societies, building solidarity with other persecuted communities, and enabling the Uyghur diaspora to construct productive campaigns to raise awareness and impact policy. CFU is also one of the founding members of the Uyghur Wellness Initiative (UWI), dedicated to creating a secure space for Uyghurs to unite during this time of crisis and prioritize our well-being—as individuals, families, and a community. In recognition of our efforts, Campaign for Uyghurs was awarded the World Democracy Courage Tribute in July 2021 and was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2022.
