Project Overview

ICAAD’s Artivism program (https://icaad.ngo/explore-artivism/) supports emerging and underrepresented artists worldwide whose work explores issues of justice. By fostering creative expression, the program aims to communicate across borders and languages, challenge harmful narratives, and build solidarity.

ICAAD seeks a talented web designer and developer to create a virtual exhibit for one of our Artivists-in-Residence, Dilpreet Bhullar. Dilpreet’s powerful research-based photo series, "A Home in the Constant Flux: A Call to the Verb Memory," delves into the migration experience, focusing on the objects that refugees carry with them. This series reflects on personal histories intertwined with political contexts, aiming to challenge stereotypical portrayals of refugees and highlight their individual stories.

Skill Set Required:
Proficiency in web design and development
Experience in creating virtual exhibits or similar digital projects
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design
Ability to incorporate multimedia elements (photos, text, videos) seamlessly
Creativity and an eye for detail
Familiarity with responsive design principles
Good communication skills for collaborating with the ICAAD team and the artist

Are you a creative web designer passionate about making a difference? Join ICAAD's Artivism program to develop a virtual exhibit for Dilpreet Bhullar, an artist highlighting the deeply personal and political aspects of migration. By creating this virtual space, you'll enable a global audience to engage with her powerful photo series, "A Home in the Constant Flux: A Call to the Verb Memory." Your work will enhance your portfolio and raise awareness about critical human rights issues. Be part of a movement that uses art to challenge harmful narratives and build solidarity across borders. Join us in creating a powerful platform for art and advocacy, and help amplify voices that challenge injustice and promote human rights. Your expertise can make a lasting impact!
