Project Overview
Innovative Dashboard for Hate Crime Data Analysis
ICAAD is seeking a skilled data analyst and dashboard designer to help develop an innovative dashboard that integrates FBI hate crime statistics, Bureau of Justice Statistics data, and other relevant sources. This dashboard aims to not only present the data in an accessible and insightful manner but also to highlight disparities in hate crime reporting across different jurisdictions. Many states do not track or report hate crimes, and the FBI relies on voluntary reporting, making this an essential tool for revealing critical gaps.
Skill Set Required:
Proficiency in Tableau Prep for data cleaning and collation
Expertise in Tableau for dashboard design and data visualization
Strong understanding of data analysis and statistical methods
Ability to design user-friendly dashboards that cater to diverse audiences (researchers, policymakers, activists)
Experience in creating systems for regular data updates
Attention to detail and an eye for design
