The GEN Foundation's Treasury is led by an individual with an MSA credential, and this is their first board role. They are concerned with compliance, organizational structure, and accounting systems to set up the foundation for success before taking our first donations. The goal is to empower them to find solutions and educate the board on what is needed for success.

This project aims to better lead the Board Treasurer in effectively running their responsibilities, mitigating compliance risks, and ensuring the right accounting structure and organization in place for scalability.

The GEN Foundation's Treasury has begun to evaluate D&O insurance. As a startup, the basics that should be in place for systems and compliance standards need to be identified. We encourage them to find and work with a CPA who knows how to lead a private operating foundation.
