The specific purpose of this organization includes the following: to educate the public about the benefits of resolving conflicts through mediation and as an alternative to litigation, to reduce the burden on government by reducing the backlog of litigated cases created by reduction of court resources, to provide information to the public about a panel of independent highly qualified, trained, ethical and experienced mediators who will provide mediation services either at no-charge or low cost to the underserved communities throughout the County of Los Angeles. As a preferred Mediation Vendor Resource for the Los Angeles Superior Court, the Mediation Center provides affordable mediation services to all civil litigants in the County both before or during litigation.
