Session Overview
Our tiny, zero-paid-staff nonprofit is at a cross-roads since our founder passed away. Currently we are a 5-person board w/ no roles or advisory committee.
1) What's the best way to make an advisory committee beholden to the board of directors, and vice versa? Is it a mistake to let the Advisory Board write/edit the bylaws?
2) What are the dangers inherent in re-purposing passionate, largely unavailable, don't-play-well-with-others board members as advisory committee members?
3) Where on earth can i find a master group facilitator for the advisory committee?
4) Best places online to recruit new Board members?
5) Do you see land mines in the document I drafted to get the conversation rolling? it's here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VKFNFw_K3FCncnU7RbDdHwpYfC5ZjYSb/view?usp=sharing
