Session Overview

Kula for Karma has been led by a two-person management team, an Executive Director and a Founder/President, for over the past 10 years. This management team has started a for-profit venture that serves as Kula's social impact partner, and they are currently working to transition the Executive Director to a development role and move a new person into the Executive Director role, while the Founder/President role will remain. Simultaneously, Kula is looking to transition the majority of the board members out and build a new board. This is all planned against a backdrop of significant changes in programming due to COVID. We would appreciate consultation on how to plan these transitions, what to prioritize, what would help make the transition go more smoothly, etc. This may involve scoping a larger project.

Our Mission
Kula for Karma’s mission is to bring the healing power of yoga, meditation, and stress management programs to those recovering from mental health, trauma, and addiction challenges.

About Us/Vision
Our goal is to provide access to customized, whole person, wellness programs to communities impacted by the mental health crisis plaguing our nation. Since 2007 we’ve pioneered these programs in hospital systems, schools, treatment centers, and homeless youth and crisis centers.

Our Impact
As innovative leaders in the behavioral health arena, we offer skills for cultivating resilience in times of stress or crisis. Kula for Karma is part of the solution. We focus on implementing restorative yoga and meditation programs backed by evidence-based science.
