The Taproot Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Schwan-Rosenwald as the organization’s new Vice President of External Affairs effective January 1, 2015. We are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth back to the Taproot Foundation where she previously served as Executive Director for Taproot’s Chicago office.
Most recently, Elizabeth served as the Vice President, Partnerships for Benevolent, a start-up organization committed to changing how we give and get support via an online platform. Elizabeth has held leadership positions at Taproot since she joined the organization in 2009, overseeing both the Chicago and Washington, DC offices as well as Taproot’s national partnership strategy. Prior to joining Taproot, Elizabeth founded 20% Theatre, an all-women’s theatre company dedicated to addressing the inequity of women and power imbalance in the theatre arena in Chicago. Elizabeth served as Artistic and Producing Director of 20% Theater from 2003-2010. Elizabeth is an alumnus of Smith College as well as the American Express Leadership Academy.
