We are seeking a Wordpress web developer to build a database for our "Sponsor a PKU Child" program website. The web developer will need to organize all 600 children in a database while being mindful of each family's requirements for confidentiality and linking sponsors to each child. The purpose of the database is to give donors a way to choose the Palestinian PKU child they wish to sponsor and also stay in touch with the child and their family. We'd like your help to launch in 2 weeks.

PKU (phenylketonuria) is a genetic disease that leaves the body unable to metabolize protein. Children with PKU need 6 cans of medical food worth $250/month so they can prevent permanent brain damage and grow up healthy. By sponsoring a PKU child, donors can ensure that PKU children in Gaza and the West Bank have a stable source of medical food. Currently, Rebuilding Alliance has identified over 600 children that need sponsors. We hope donors will form a team of 5 friends to each give $50 monthly.

The brain damage that PKU causes is entirely preventable. All PKU children can grow up to fulfill their full potential if they had access to proper medical care and nutrition. Your help can help bridge this gap for Palestinian families. Setting up our Sponsor a PKU Child database makes it so much easier for caring donors to have a personal connection to the children they're helping while giving families a stable supply of the medical food they need.
