Project Overview

We seek assistance to develop a comprehensive board recruitment strategy and materials for our nonprofit dedicated to promoting equal opportunity to the community at large

We require the following specific support in this project:
1. Developing Board Member Personas: We seek volunteers' expertise to craft 5-7 comprehensive working board member personas. These personas should reflect individuals with substantial governance experience and outline the precise skills, qualifications, and networks we aspire to find in potential board members.

2. Creating a Board Recruitment Plan: The volunteer(s) should help us formulate a detailed plan that outlines targeted recruitment channels and messaging strategies.

3. Designing Template Board Member Job Descriptions: We need the volunteer(s) to create job description templates for board members. These templates will guide our recruitment efforts, specifically targeting individuals with governance experience.

This is an opportunity for a passionate expert to help advance our mission. To utilize their skills and experience in nonprofit board recruitment. By dedicating a few hours each week, you can empower our small nonprofit to better serve community needs for years to come.

This project is a critical step for our organization as it will lay the foundation for strengthening our governance and infrastructure, enabling us to expand our programs effectively.

As the Executive Director, I've conducted research and participated in training relating to best practices for nonprofit board development and governance, equipping myself with valuable knowledge to support this project. We will promptly begin posting board member openings once we finalize the materials. In parallel, the skilled volunteer will leverage their network and expertise to identify candidates. Interviews and onboarding will commence in March. We are fully committed to ensuring this project's success and are eager to implement the work effectively.
