Email & Social Copywriting for a June Festival
We're seeking one or more volunteers who are passionate about our mission to help us craft strategic email and social media messaging for an upcoming marketing campaign.
Specifically, you will work with the Cool Culture team to create copy for a one to two-month digital media campaign that includes email and social media content (and web content as time allows). We anticipate that the final deliverable will be 15-25 different emails/social media posts. Our goals are to garner critical support from donors, and to activate our community of 50,000+ families, educators, museum and cultural workers to attend our Bring the Cool Family Festival on June 18, 2024; and engage artists and influencers to help amplify these messages.
You're a great fit for us if you have a background in managing social media accounts and you can spend ten hours over two weeks on this project - or are open to working with another volunteer to achieve these outcomes.
For almost 25 years, we've served as New York's Best Kept Secret. But too often, the lack of visibility for small, BIPOC-led community organizations like ours, leads to severe underfunding. As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary we want to step out of the shadows, launching into the next phase of our vision, and call on the community to support our critical work. We are kicking off this monumental milestone with our "Bring the Cool" Family Festival taking place on June 18, 2024, during the annual NYC Museum Mile Festival, a Campaign that will invite partner families to attend this quintessential NYC event and raise funds and visibility.
To do so, we need the support of experienced copywriters, marketing, communications, and narrative strategy professionals!
We have in hand a 25th Anniversary Communications Plan, 25th Anniversary branding (logos, social media templates, sponsorship deck, and a 3-pager), and preliminary messaging for this initiative. You also will have access to a creative and committed team dedicated to the success of this project, and to the health and wellbeing of NYC's marginalized families and communities.
