Google Ads Optimization
Uncarcerated, a 501(c)(3) serving the incarcerated population, seeks a skilled, passionate, and dedicated volunteer to develop our existing Google Ads Grant account.
Uncarcerated has partnered with Google via their programs for AdGrants, Google for Nonprofits, and Grow with Google. Google generously provides Uncarcerated with free AdSpend, a low-cost Google Workspace, and free digital skills training for career readiness for justice-involved people. Our C.E.O.’s executive mentor is a Google executive, and sits on Uncarcerated’s Board of Directors. Google is a major supporter of both criminal justice reform and our C.E.O.'s work.
We're seeking a volunteer to help us maximize our Google Ad Grant. This project will play a key role in our organization's ability to grow brand awareness and impact community members. This project may include the following activities:
-Development of or updates to our nonprofit's Google Ads strategy
-Training one or two staff members on how to update Google Ads and monitor their performance
-Setting up integration between Google Ads and Google Analytics
-Making recommendations for future search engine optimization or content management projects that will improve our Google Ads health
Our ideal volunteer has experience with Google Ads and/or search engine marketing and copywriting skills.
Results will include increased support of second chances for the incarcerated, greater awareness of the value of recovery and education in the incarceration setting as tools to transform society, and de-stigmatization of people reentering society following incarceration. This project is a priority for Uncarcerated at this stage because we recently expanded from serving about 200 incarcerated people a week in our Zoom programs, to serving several hundred thousand via a nationwide tablet system for the incarcerated. We are exploring further scaling opportunities. We are exploring ways to develop a free AI chatbot, available via our website, specifically tailored to the needs of formerly incarcerated people and their supporters. We need to drive traffic to our site, and track analytics, to ensure we are serving the greatest number of people affected by incarceration.
This project is a good investment of the skilled volunteer’s time because it would give them the opportunity to make key contributions to a 501(c)(3) that has a partnership with Google, is established as providing robust and effective in-prison programs, and is set to scale to deliver transformative results to hundreds of thousands of people affected by incarceration.Uncarcerated has the materials, time and staff commitment to successfully complete this project as follows: we have a full-time C.E.O. who will partner directly with the volunteer(s), an existing website and the resources to further develop it, a Google AdGrants package, including Google Workspace, and available funding resources. Uncarcerated is ready to implement the volunteer work as our website is currently live.
