Chart Of Accounts Update

My goal for this project is to create an updated chart of accounts that aligns more appropriately with our agency budget. We are a small not-for-profit organization updating our chart of accounts will assist the staff with preparing budgets and monthly and year-end reports.

Our organization is 43 years old and was the first emergency shelter opened in Suffolk County. We are a very small staff but are very committed to our clients and serving them with respect and dignity. This includes clients at our shelter, pantry, or living in our transitional houses. Through working with our organization the volunteer will help the administrative staff update our systems and be better prepared to prepare budgets and reports required by funders.

I have worked closely with our auditor who supports our updating our chart of accounts in our accounting software to make preparing budgets easier.
