Pilot Program Design
Our program design partner would help us define the program activities and create a logic model that outlines the cause-and-effect relationships between program inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes. We would also define the human and financial resources (budget) required to implement the program, along with any monitoring and evaluation mechanisms necessary to assess the effectiveness of the program.
We're preparing to launch a pilot project in Kenya, and we’re seeking a skilled program design volunteer to help us develop a clear, measurable, and impactful plan for implementation.
This is a unique opportunity to collaborate on a community-led, data-driven initiative at the intersection of civic engagement, public infrastructure, and local development.
How You’ll Help ADC Achieve Its Goals:
As our program design partner, you will:
-Develop a step-by-step implementation plan for our pilot
-Collaborate with our team to define core activities, outputs, and outcomes
-Help create a logic model that illustrates the cause-and-effect relationships between:
*Inputs (resources we invest)
*Activities (what we do)
*Outputs (what we produce)
*Outcomes (what changes)
*Support us in estimating the human and financial resources required (budget outline)
*Recommend monitoring and evaluation (M&E) mechanisms to assess program impact
By guiding our pilot development, you’ll empower ADC to demonstrate the real-world effectiveness of our model and pave the way for sustainable, scalable impact across the continent.
Ideal Volunteer Background:
-Experience designing or evaluating nonprofit or development programs
-Familiarity with logic models, Theory of Change, and M&E tools
-Strong understanding of resource planning and budgeting in a nonprofit context
-Passion for equity, systems change, or grassroots development in Africa
What You’ll Gain:
-A meaningful leadership role in shaping a program that tackles resource inequality at its root
-Collaboration with a passionate, visionary team
-Visibility in a project featured in UK media and linked to a published book, There Is Shade, that supports our cause
-A chance to apply your skills toward scalable social innovation
We have prepared a cache of resources detailing our current programs and have already identified the need the new program will address, along with the target beneficiaries the program will reach.
