Social Media Content Calendar & Copywriting
You're a great fit for us if you're passionate about our mission, you have a background in managing professional social media accounts, and you can spend ten hours over one to three weeks on this project.
African Development Choices (ADC) is a UK-based nonprofit with a powerful mission: to empower communities in Africa to influence how public resources are distributed—starting with clean water and basic infrastructure in underserved areas of Kenya.
We’ve been featured in Metro UK, published a mission-driven book of poetry (There Is Shade), and are preparing to launch our first pilot program. As our public presence grows, we need support managing and scaling our social media content with clarity and consistency.
That’s where you come in.
How You’ll Help ADC Achieve Its Goals:
We’re looking for a volunteer who can help us save time, reach more people, and build a stronger digital presence by:
✅ Creating a customizable one-month social media calendar template
✅ Drafting 15–20 compelling social posts that reflect our tone and mission
✅ Recommending ways to optimize content by platform (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook)
✅ Advising us on automation tools to streamline our publishing workflow
✅ Delivering a completed calendar filled with post-ready content for our next campaign
Your work will directly help us:
-Share our story more effectively
-Grow support for our upcoming pilot in Kenya
-Increase visibility for our book and donation efforts
-Strengthen engagement with donors, diaspora audiences, and young changemakers
You’re a Great Fit If:
-You have experience managing professional or nonprofit social media accounts
-You’re a strong writer with a knack for audience-appropriate copy
-You love transforming big ideas into digestible, sharable content
-You care about civic equity, international development, or grassroots innovation
-You can commit ~10 hours over 1 to 3 weeks
What You’ll Gain:
-A high-impact, creative opportunity to shape the voice of a growing nonprofit
-The satisfaction of helping bring visibility to a life-changing cause
-A flexible, fast-paced collaboration with a passionate founder and team
-Credit for your work and permission to showcase it in your portfolio
