Impact Data Infrastructure

Our organization is looking to maximize the way we collect and analyze impact data to better demonstrate our value to stakeholders and position ourselves to secure capacity-building revenue!

We're in search of a volunteer to help us optimize our impact data infrastructure by recommending improvements to our current data collection processes across our organization and developing a data tool to visualize key data insights.

This project will include the following potential tasks:

-Conduct an audit of our current data collection processes and the type of data points currently collected
-Recommend enhancements to our data collection processes to ensure we're capturing the most relevant data to demonstrate our program impact
-Develop a data visualization tool that allows our organization to track our key performance indicators (KPIs), identify program trends, and pull key impact insights

By optimizing our infrastructure for collecting and analyzing impact data, we'll be better equipped to further improve our ability to demonstrate our value to potential funders and secure empowering financial resources.

We’re seeking a skilled volunteer who can help us enhance our impact data collection and analysis infrastructure—so we can tell a stronger story to donors, community partners, and policy stakeholders, and ultimately secure the support needed to scale our work.

What You’ll Help Us Do:
With your expertise, you’ll help us:

✅ Audit our current data collection methods and assess the types of impact data we’re tracking
✅ Recommend improvements to ensure we’re collecting the most relevant, funder-friendly, and community-focused data
✅ Design and develop a simple data visualization tool or dashboard that highlights key performance indicators (KPIs), tracks trends over time, and helps us communicate value at a glance

This project is a vital part of our capacity-building strategy, enabling us to show measurable outcomes, demonstrate accountability, and attract the right partners and funding.

You’re a Great Fit If:
You’ve worked in impact measurement, data analytics, M&E, or KPI dashboard creation

You love turning messy data into meaningful insight

You’re familiar with tools like Google Data Studio, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau

You want to help a mission-driven team scale its work and communicate its value more effectively

You can commit ~15–20 hours over a few weeks

To support the execution of this project, the volunteer will have access to staff members who work closely with our data collection and reporting processes. We will provide details about our program, mission, and vision, as well as materials currently used for data collection (e.g. surveys intake forms, budgetary information about program expenses, etc.) Additionally, we'll share how we're currently using data to communicate with key stakeholders and support our fundraising efforts.
