Volunteer Opportunity: Web Visual Designer

We are seeking a Volunteer Web Visual Designer to refresh and modernize the look and feel of our existing website, which is currently built on the Squarespace platform. This role will focus on the visual presentation, ensuring the site is engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with our mission. All photos, videos, and media assets will be provided by our team, including access to our YouTube channel for video content.

Responsibilities
- Redesign and update the website’s visual style, layout, and overall aesthetic within Squarespace.
- Incorporate provided images and videos, including content from our YouTube channel, into the site in a professional and impactful way.
- Ensure the design reflects the organization’s mission and values.
- Collaborate with our team to align visuals with messaging and branding.
- Deliver a polished, modern, and compassionate design that resonates with supporters and donors.
Qualifications
- Experience in web or visual design (portfolio or examples of past work preferred).
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or similar.
- Working knowledge of Squarespace for implementing design updates.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles for nonprofit or community-focused websites.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a small team.
- Passion for humanitarian causes and supporting children in need.
