We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up a simple bookkeeping system in QuickBooks! Our team has permissions and users in place, but we need help creating the right reports and automations for our needs. The volunteer will work with us to establish reconciliation and reporting systems, design a straightforward process to monitor, categorize, and tag expenses. The goal is to ensure clear visibility into our financial health and meet funder expectations for fiscal transparency.

This project will take approximately 10 hours over the course of 2-4 weeks.

One of our barriers to growth is that we don't have financial reports ready to be shared when requested by funders in grant applications. Getting this process started on a solid foundation will enable us to confidently pursue more funding opportunities. It will also set us up for a smoother transition when we hire a bookkeeper in the future.

The Executive Director and Board Treasurer (both familiar with QuickBooks) will be your main points of contact. This project has full board support, and we are ready to collaborate with an experienced accounting professional to ensure we are implementing best practices and utilizing the right QuickBooks settings and automations for a small nonprofit.
