The WildRoot Collective is seeking a skilled social media strategist and copywriter to help us develop a content calendar and messaging plan that captures our voice, values, and programs across digital platforms.

We want to build a consistent and engaging presence that connects with our community, highlights our work, and supports our fundraising and outreach goals.

During this project, the volunteer will:

-Review our mission, programs, and brand materials to understand our organizational voice and tone
-Develop a 3–6 month content calendar for our primary platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn — and optionally TikTok)
-Create sample post copy and hashtags aligned with our themes of food sovereignty, intergenerational wellness, and community healing
-Recommend visual guidelines or post templates to maintain brand consistency
-Provide tips or a brief guide for our team to manage content moving forward

This project will give our organization a clear, replicable framework for social media storytelling, ensuring our message remains consistent and engaging.
The WildRoot Collective’s mission is to cultivate healing, justice, and connection through intergenerational programs, food sovereignty education, and cultural resilience.

A well-developed social media strategy will:

Expand our visibility and reach among community members, funders, and partners

Strengthen our storytelling and engagement around programs and impact

Build a consistent brand presence across platforms

Inspire new audiences to get involved, volunteer, or donate

By contributing their creative expertise, the volunteer will help us bring our message of community, sustainability, and liberation to life — online and beyond.
We’ve compiled background materials, including our mission and vision statements, program descriptions, logo, brand elements, and recent photos. Our leadership team is prepared to collaborate by sharing content ideas, upcoming events, and stories from our community.

We will:

Provide timely feedback and approvals

Share existing photos, videos, and visual assets

Assign one point of contact to coordinate communication with the volunteer

Once completed, we’ll immediately begin using the content calendar and messaging templates for event promotion, partner highlights, and fundraising campaigns—ensuring the volunteer’s work is implemented right away.

Organization Mission

The WildRoot Collective is a Georgia-based nonprofit and social enterprise committed to justice-centered community building, collective liberation, community wellness, and food sovereignty. Our hybrid model integrates earned income from mission-driven businesses—Wild Lit Books and Wild Grounds Coffee Company—with community-centered nonprofit programming. In partnership with our community, we address food injustice, social isolation, and the absence of joyful, nourishing spaces—grounding our work in land, culture, and collective learning. Our approach is bold yet grounded: profit supports purpose, and our community is at the center of everything we do. To cultivate healing, justice, and connection through intergenerational programs, food sovereignty education, and cultural resilience, rooted in a vision of collective liberation.
