We’re seeking a skilled volunteer to help Culture Kids Productions develop a clear and actionable business development strategy. As a nonprofit children’s media organization, we currently operate an award-winning podcast, multiple accolades, and a good following but have no established revenue stream. We’d love a volunteer who can help us identify, design, and implement sustainable models for growth.

Specific tasks include:

Analyzing our current operations and identifying potential revenue opportunities (such as licensing, partnerships, educational sales, sponsorships, and merchandise).

Helping us build a financial model or simple revenue forecast that aligns with our mission and nonprofit structure.

Developing a short- and long-term business development plan that includes actionable goals, timelines, and benchmarks for revenue generation.

Advising on strategies for approaching corporate sponsors, foundations, and philanthropic partners in a way that aligns with our mission of cultural education and inclusion.

Recommending tools or systems (CRM, outreach templates, basic fundraising processes) to support sustainable growth.

This project will help us move from a passion-driven creative nonprofit to a financially sustainable organization capable of expanding our educational and cultural impact for children and families worldwide.
This project will directly support Culture Kids Productions’ mission to help every child feel valued, welcomed, and celebrated exactly as they are, while inspiring curiosity, belonging, and respect for cultures around the world. Culture Kids is more than a podcast; it’s a community platform built by and for families, educators, and cultural organizations who believe that learning about one another creates understanding and connection. Through over 150 immersive audio episodes and 80 partnerships with museums, authors, and community leaders worldwide, we’ve created a space where authentic voices can share their traditions, stories, and perspectives in ways that are accessible and joyful for children everywhere.

By developing a sustainable revenue model, this project will help us grow that platform and ensure it continues to serve the community, not just our listeners, but also the artists, educators, and cultural partners who make each episode possible. A clear financial roadmap will allow us to strengthen collaborations, expand educational access, and provide fair compensation for creative partners whose voices bring cultural education to life.

Your expertise will help transform Culture Kids Productions from a volunteer-powered initiative into a sustainable community resource, one that uplifts diverse voices, supports cultural exchange, and ensures that every child and family has a place to feel connected, inspired, and included.
We’ve laid a strong foundation to make this a productive and impactful collaboration. Our board and leadership team are fully aligned on the importance of developing a sustainable revenue model to help guide our next stage of growth. While we don’t yet have a partnership deck—part of what we hope this project will help us clarify—we do have a strong brand identity, over 150 original podcast episodes produced across three years, and more than 80 partnerships with cultural organizations, museums, authors, and educators worldwide. Culture Kids Productions is also recognized by Apple Podcasts as an Essential Kids & Family show and has earned multiple industry awards, which we believe demonstrates both our credibility and growth potential. With over 500,000 downloads and counting, we have potential to fill a big gap in children's education.

We’ve gathered our 501(c)(3) documents, recent financial information, audience analytics, and brand materials to support this project. Our small but dedicated team is prepared to work closely with the volunteer to explore potential revenue pathways—whether through educational partnerships, licensing, or other creative models—and to ensure that the outcomes of this project are directly implemented. Once the revenue model is developed, we’ll integrate it into our board’s strategic planning process and use it to strengthen our fundraising, grant writing, and organizational sustainability efforts.

Our founder will be actively involved in every step, ensuring open communication, quick feedback, and clear follow-through. We’re eager to learn from this collaboration and confident that with the right guidance, we can turn our strong creative foundation into a thriving, financially sustainable nonprofit model.

Organization Mission

Culture Kids Productions is an award-winning nonprofit organization and family podcast dedicated to fostering a global mindset in every child. We take young listeners on imaginative adventures to explore the traditions, stories, foods, languages, and animals from various cultures around the world. Beyond teaching customs, we focus on the individuals and families behind them. By partnering with families, cultural organizations, educators, and authors, we highlight authentic voices and lived experiences, making each episode personal and meaningful. Our goal is to help children grow up curious, open-hearted, and connected to the world around them. Through these shared stories, Culture Kids builds bridges between communities—one joyful journey at a time. As one 6-year-old listener shared, our show "creates love around the world." Inspired by Darren Hardy’s The Compound Effect, we believe that small, consistent actions can lead to extraordinary change. By introducing children to the wonders of global cultures in an engaging, heartfelt way, we plant the seeds of curiosity, empathy, and understanding that will grow into compassionate, collaborative individuals. We recognize that when cultural education is absent in a child's early years, the void of knowledge can lead to misunderstandings. Over time, this can breed fear and division. Our mission is to break this cycle by cultivating a brighter, more connected world—one where children embrace differences with curiosity, build connections through shared experiences, and form lasting friendships that transcend cultural backgrounds. Grounded in heartfelt storytelling, our approach helps children not only understand but deeply connect with the cultures around them. We aim to nurture a love for humanity and exploration, empowering kids to lead with empathy, foster meaningful relationships, and become champions of a more unified, peaceful world. Together, we are shaping a generation that will build a future where understanding and connection unite us all.
