We’re seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Grant Researcher to help us identify and organize new funding opportunities that will power our programs and expand our reach. Sustainable funding is the backbone of our mission, and by building a strong pipeline of grants, we can continue delivering essential services to the communities we serve.

The volunteer will support us by:

Researching Funding Opportunities: Identify and compile a list of potential federal, state, local, and private grant opportunities aligned with our mission and programs.

Analyzing Funder Requirements: Review eligibility criteria, priorities, and submission deadlines to help us target the most promising prospects.

Organizing a Grant Database: Develop a tracking system to monitor deadlines, submission status, and reporting requirements for future use.

Laying the Groundwork for Future Proposals: Provide brief summaries or key information that will help our team craft competitive applications.

With just 2–5 hours a week over several weeks, your work will set the foundation for sustainable growth and allow us to strategically pursue funding opportunities that can transform lives.
Securing sustainable funding is vital to our ability to deliver education, wellness, and essential support services to underserved communities. By identifying new grant opportunities, you will help us diversify our funding streams, expand our programs, and reach more individuals in need.

Every new funding source you uncover has the potential to launch a new initiative, sustain a critical program, or deepen our impact. Your research will directly translate into more meals served, more families supported, and more lives transformed. In short, you won’t just be finding grants—you’ll be helping us build a stronger, more resilient future for the communities we serve.
We’ve prepared the key information and resources you’ll need to dive right in. Our leadership team has prioritized specific program areas for funding, and we’ve compiled details on past funders, existing proposals, budgets, and impact reports to guide your research. We’ve also aligned internally on our fundraising goals and timelines to ensure clarity and focus throughout the project.

You’ll collaborate with a dedicated staff contact who will provide feedback, answer questions, and help prioritize the most relevant opportunities. Once your research is complete, our internal team will use the findings to craft proposals and build relationships with potential funders—ensuring your work leads directly to actionable next steps.

Organization Mission

Bright Mind is a community wellness education organization. BME was just featured on ABC, CBS, Politico, Newsweek, and many more outlets for our vaccination project and we need more people to join us as we continue to solve urgent social issues! CBS News said of our newest app: "Health experts have said friends and family are key to getting those who aren't vaccinated and experts say this (Vaccination Rewards) app will start those conversations. "Bright Mind recently launched Street Care, a massive initiative built by our homelessness and wellness experts, 'your toolkit to help homeless people.' We have an app, an expanding series of informational materials and instructional videos (25+ already), and more (at streetcare.us). We are pioneering an online and on-the-streets outreach approach, accessible to everyone. We are passionate about building community. This is a crucial time to create positive change, and we look forward to working together as we accomplish great things together!
