Social Media Content Calendar & Copywriting
With your expertise, you’ll help us:
Develop a structured workflow for gathering and sharing content among our staff and volunteers.
Draft 15–20 sample posts that align with our mission, tone, and upcoming campaigns.
Provide recommendations for tailoring content to different platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
Advise us on tools and strategies for automating or scheduling posts to save time and improve consistency.
The final deliverable will be a customized three-month calendar—complete with 15–20 ready-to-post examples—that we can replicate and adapt for future seasons. This project will help Herd & Flock share our rescued animals’ stories more effectively and inspire even greater compassion and support for our mission.
You're a great fit for us if you're passionate about animal rescue and education, you have a background in managing professional social media accounts, and you can spend 15 hours over two to three weeks on this project.
Now, we’re ready to take our social media presence to the next level. We’re seeking a professional social media consultant who can help us:
Develop a cohesive content calendar that aligns with our seasonal rhythms, animal stories, and fundraising campaigns.
Design streamlined workflows that empower our small staff and volunteers to post consistently and authentically.
Elevate our storytelling through a mix of educational, behind-the-scenes, and emotionally resonant content that inspires engagement and giving.
This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a passionate, mission-driven nonprofit that already has a strong brand identity, powerful visuals, and a deep well of authentic stories — but limited time to execute consistently. You’ll be shaping systems that will have an immediate and lasting impact on how our community connects with us and how we grow our reach and sustainability.
Working with Herd & Flock means helping hundreds of rescued animals be seen, valued, and supported — while partnering with a team that genuinely appreciates creativity, empathy, and excellence.
During our first meeting, we’ll review our current posting practices and goals, and you can let us know what additional materials or access you’ll need to be successful. Once the project is complete, our team will immediately begin using the new calendar and workflows to guide our ongoing content creation. We’re excited to learn from your expertise and to build sustainable systems that will keep our mission visible and vibrant long after the project ends.
