A technical migration of the existing Squarespace site to a self-hosted WordPress instance. We hope to find a volunteer will export/import content and media, install and configure WordPress core and essential plugins, and help preserve site structure and links (for good SEO).

Moving to a self-hosted WordPress site will improve reliability and control for sharing our advocacy, support services, and community programs. Volunteer expertise will help us better reach LGBTQ+ people, allies, and families in Southwest Michigan and strengthen our ability to pursue systems-change and community-building work.

Our team can handle front-end design, marketing, and content decisions once the migration has happened — so the volunteer won't have to worry about these things! Details such as access, hosting setup, and content inventory will be provided during interviews so the volunteer can work efficiently and hand off a stable site.
