We’re looking for an experienced Grant Writer who can not only support us with grant research and writing, but also help guide and train a small internal team of volunteer grant writers (about three people total) for the length of this project.

This is ideal for a volunteer who enjoys thinking both strategically and practically. We’d love your help to:
• Use platforms like Foundation Directory to identify funding opportunities
• Write and edit proposals tailored to various funders
• Collaborate on a grant calendar and submission strategy
• Mentor or guide our internal volunteers
• Help us build an internal system we can sustain after you leave

We’re just looking for someone who’s comfortable taking the lead and shaping a small but committed team.

Bonus if you have experience with international grant writing or funding streams related to migration and global development.
Creshendo is a nonprofit serving migrant and displaced communities through storytelling, education, and economic opportunity. But in the current climate, financial support for refugee-centered work is becoming harder to secure.

Your leadership in this project will directly help us stay active, scale our programs, and reach the people who need us most. You’ll be strengthening not just a project, but an entire team’s capacity to build long-term impact.
You’ll work closely with our Executive Director and have access to past grant materials, organizational priorities, and in-progress proposals. We’ll provide structure, coordinate team calls, and ensure your time is spent on the highest-value work, not hunting down information.

The team is motivated and grateful for leadership support. You’ll have space to shape direction and flexibility to work in a way that suits your availability.
