We are seeking a skilled volunteer to help us improve and automate key processes on our Wix-based nonprofit website. Our goal is to enhance site structure, integrate simple automations (such as membership workflows and event processes), and develop clear design concepts that align with our mission and are easy for our team to manage.

Over 6 weeks (about 5 hours per week), the volunteer will meet with our team to understand our goals, assess our current site, and review our technical capabilities. They will create a brief outlining our needs, audit the existing site, and draft recommended automations, an improved site architecture, and wireframe-style design options. These materials will guide our team or a future web developer in implementing the updated site.

This project will help us build a more efficient, user-friendly website for our members and the internationally educated nursing community we serve.
This project will strengthen our ability to support internationally educated nurses by improving the main platform our members rely on for resources, events, and community connection. A clearer, more efficient website—with automated workflows—will make it easier for nurses to access information, join programs, and stay engaged.

Because SIENNA is volunteer-led, streamlining our site will also free up time for us to focus on advocacy, education, and member support. Your work will directly enhance how we serve IENs across North America and help us expand our impact.
We are well prepared to ensure this project is successful. Our leadership team is fully aligned on the goals for this website update, and we have already identified the specific processes we want to automate and the sections of the site that need restructuring. We have gathered all existing materials, including branding assets, site content, membership workflows, and examples of how our audiences currently interact with the website.

A small, dedicated project team will meet regularly with the volunteer, provide timely feedback, and make decisions quickly to keep the work moving forward. Once the deliverables are complete, our team has the capacity and commitment to implement the recommended site architecture, automations, and design updates—either internally or with a future web developer volunteer.

By coming prepared, staying responsive, and having a clear plan for implementation, we will ensure the volunteer’s work has a meaningful and lasting impact on our organization.
