Develop a donor-ready plan for the Home Front Heroes gift-shop program. Provide concise program description and visitor-facing messaging, a gift-shop signup and payment workflow for $25+ gifts, newsletter opt-in process, sample acknowledgement and outreach email templates, and a short implementation checklist. Details will be provided.
This program will create a sustainable giving stream to help sustain the park through difficult times, deepen visitor connection to the site, and keep supporters informed about events and programs including Rosie’s Girls. Volunteer support will directly help preserve the Park’s educational mission and community programs.
Details will be provided during volunteer interviews. Park staff will share gift-shop operations and newsletter platform information, participate in regular check-ins, and implement agreed recommendations. We welcome collaborative work and will respond promptly to support the volunteer’s progress.

Organization Mission

Rosie the Riveter Trust seeks to inspire current and future generations with the "We Can Do It" spirit and values that energized the WWII Home Front and transformed American government, industry, society and culture. The Rosie’s Girls program in Richmond California, is one of only two such programs in the state (the other is in Santa Monica). For the last six years, we have successfully raised funds to provide 20-30 low-income at-risk girls with a summer camp where they learn carpentry, welding, STEM skills, and more. This program is uniquely tied to our national park, which educates about the stunning social changes that came about as women, minorities, the disabled and others found war-time opportunities in the workplace.
