ReSpawn Foundation is seeking a Taproot volunteer to help us develop a professional, compelling donor communications package that will support immediate and long-term fundraising. As a new national 501(c)(3) focused on making adaptive gaming a standard part of rehabilitation care, we must clearly communicate our mission, impact, and unique role to individual donors, family foundations, and corporate partners.

We are seeking support with:
• Developing a polished Case for Support that explains who we are, why adaptive gaming matters, and what donors can make possible.
• Creating a donor-facing one-page overview for use in outreach to high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and partners.
• Designing or refining a pitch deck we can use in donor meetings.
• Establishing consistent messaging, including value propositions, impact statements, and donor-centered language.
• Optional: Drafting donor stewardship templates (thank-you emails, follow-up messages, introduction scripts, etc.).

The volunteer will work directly with our Founder and Director of Clinical Training to ensure accuracy and storytelling that reflects the lived experiences of patients, clinicians, and our hospital partners.
ReSpawn Foundation’s mission is to transform rehabilitation through the integration of adaptive gaming—helping individuals with spinal cord injuries, limb loss, stroke, and complex disabilities reconnect with joy, agency, and identity through play.

To expand into more hospitals, train more clinicians, and place more adaptive gaming equipment in the hands of patients, we must strengthen our fundraising capacity. A professional donor communications package will:
• Help us engage high-net-worth donors and family foundations excited about disability innovation.
• Provide clarity and credibility when approaching corporate and philanthropic partners.
• Support the launch and sustainability of our national training program.
• Increase access to adaptive gaming for patients who would otherwise go without.
• Enable us to grow the first national adaptive gaming clinical data registry.

By contributing to this project, the volunteer will directly help more patients experience the therapeutic, psychosocial, and community benefits of adaptive gaming—impacting lives across rehabilitation hospitals nationwide.
We have gathered the essential materials the volunteer will need, including our mission framework, hospital partnership descriptions, grant narratives, program metrics, and patient and clinician stories. Our leadership team is aligned on the goals and will be available for weekly check-ins and rapid feedback.

We will begin by co-creating a clear scope and milestone plan so the volunteer has confidence in direction and timeline. All materials produced will be implemented immediately in:
• Donor outreach and meetings
• Foundation and family fund applications
• Corporate and hospital partnership development
• Public-facing communications on our website and social channels

Because we are a small but rapidly scaling organization, the volunteer will have direct access to decision-makers, ensuring quick approvals and a streamlined path to a finished product.
