PLCA Pilot Program Design
- We have a clear concept for PLCA and an outline of the participant journey (career exploration, branding, networking, applications, interviews, and offer negotiation), but we need expert support to turn this into a rigorous, implementation-ready pilot. We are seeking help to:
- Translate our vision into a clear logic model linking inputs, activities, outputs, and short- and long-term employment outcomes.
Define and sequence core program components (e.g., coaching sessions, workshops, networking events, employer touchpoints, and 90-day post-placement support).
Clarify eligibility, cadence, and milestones from enrollment through job placement and early on-the-job success.
- Outline the human and financial resources required, and design practical monitoring and evaluation tools that our small team can realistically use.
The goal is a step-by-step PLCA pilot design that we can launch with an initial cohort and then refine and scale.
This project will:
1. Turn PLCA from a strong concept into a coherent, evidence-informed program that guides veterans from “I don’t know what’s next” to a concrete role and a confident first 90 days at work.
2. Give us a clear theory of change, success metrics, and data-collection plan so we can demonstrate placement, retention, and advancement outcomes to funders and employer partners.
3. Help us invest our limited time and budget in the career-support activities that create the greatest value for veterans, making the program scalable and sustainable.
In practical terms, your work on this pilot will shape how we help veterans secure high-quality jobs and build long-term careers—directly influencing their financial stability, confidence, and post-service quality of life.
- Assign a senior leader as project sponsor and a dedicated point of contact responsible for coordination and timely decisions.
- Provide background materials, including our current PLCA concept, draft curriculum based on proven career-management frameworks, target beneficiary profiles, and notes from conversations with veterans and employers.
- Share any available data from our existing coaching and career-support activities to ground the design in real participant needs and constraints.
- Hold a focused kickoff to align on objectives, scope, milestones, and a 4–6 week working timeline, and schedule regular check-ins to review drafts and address open questions.
We will commit to rapid feedback, open dialogue, and a willingness to iterate so that the volunteer’s recommendations turn into a clear, usable pilot plan.
