Our organization aims to create intuitive, visually engaging, and user-centered digital experiences across our mobile and web platforms. As our programs—including Street Care, Wellness Week, and emerging education initiatives—continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to help us translate our mission into clear, accessible, and impactful designs.

The volunteer will support the creation of wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and visual assets using Figma, including app icons and logos. By collaborating closely with our development and product teams, the volunteer will help ensure that design solutions are consistent, scalable, and aligned with both user needs and organizational goals.

By improving the usability and accessibility of our digital platforms, the volunteer will directly enhance our ability to connect individuals with resources, services, and opportunities for support. Thoughtful UI/UX design ensures that users—including volunteers, community members, and individuals experiencing hardship—can easily navigate our tools and access critical information.

Strong, user-centered design amplifies the reach and effectiveness of initiatives such as Street Care and Wellness Week, helping us scale our impact while maintaining a compassionate, human-centered approach. The volunteer’s contributions will play a meaningful role in strengthening our digital presence and advancing our mission to promote well-being, connection, and community care.

Our team has prepared by defining core user journeys, identifying priority features, and documenting current design challenges and opportunities. We have organized branding guidelines, existing design assets, and user feedback to inform the design process and ensure continuity across platforms.

To support effective collaboration, we have established clear workflows for design reviews, feedback cycles, and handoffs to development teams. A designated point of contact will provide direction, coordinate cross-functional input, and ensure timely communication. These preparations enable the volunteer to focus on creating high-quality designs that can be implemented efficiently and effectively.

Bright Mind is a community wellness education organization. BME was just featured on ABC, CBS, Politico, Newsweek, and many more outlets for our vaccination project and we need more people to join us as we continue to solve urgent social issues! CBS News said of our newest app: "Health experts have said friends and family are key to getting those who aren't vaccinated and experts say this (Vaccination Rewards) app will start those conversations. "Bright Mind recently launched Street Care, a massive initiative built by our homelessness and wellness experts, 'your toolkit to help homeless people.' We have an app, an expanding series of informational materials and instructional videos (25+ already), and more (at streetcare.us). We are pioneering an online and on-the-streets outreach approach, accessible to everyone. We are passionate about building community. This is a crucial time to create positive change, and we look forward to working together as we accomplish great things together!
