We’re seeking a volunteer marketing lead/director to help plan and produce launch-ready marketing content for a children’s coloring + activity book supporting kids ages 4–18+ who are facing cancer.
The book will be published via Amazon KDP (about 30 pages), and we need messaging that is hopeful, respectful, and clear about the audience and purpose. Under creative direction, you’ll create a simple marketing plan and core assets such as social posts/captions, short partner outreach blurbs, and an Amazon description.
This project directly supports the Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation’s mission: to bring hope, support, and resources to children facing cancer. The activity book is a joyful, therapeutic tool rooted in the real story of our teen founder Elana — a cancer survivor, singer, and advocate. It helps normalize the emotional journey of pediatric cancer and offers comfort to children and families in treatment.

By launching this book with the help of a skilled volunteer, we’ll extend its reach to hospitals, care partners, and families nationwide. The marketing assets created will allow us to build awareness, generate donations, and give away copies of the book to kids who need it most. Volunteers who join us will be helping deliver real moments of joy, empowerment, and connection to young people at a vulnerable time in their lives.
Because the book shares Elana’s true story, our outreach must be accurate, sensitive, and aligned with the organization’s values. We’ll provide branding guidelines, key facts, story background, images, and impact examples so you can build consistent messaging.

Please be ready to share examples of past campaigns/content, and to collaborate with our team through a few review cycles to finalize materials and timing. We aim to finish the project by March 2026 to support sharing the book at our summer camp.
