The New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) is a non profit in Southeast Louisiana that provides nonpartisan platforms for leaders to grow networks, build leadership capacity, and enhance management skillsets. We deeply value diversity, equity, and following the protests of racial injustice last year, we made a formal commitment to incorporate DEI at every level - governance, programs, operations, and policies. I would like to consult on first steps in this process (assumably a DEI audit), and how to then create an action plan towards addressing the deficiencies identified in the audit. I want to understand what should be included and how we should go about codifying our commitment to DEI.
