I have a book that I am writing. The book is to be called "Avoiding Life". It is a true story of my life and dealings with what started out as an unknown condition. It opens up in a place that I eventually discovered was the mental ward at my local VA hospital. I then reflect on my life, which is what takes me back to the beginning. I was diagnosed in the Air Force with a mental health condition called Avoidant Personality.
Avoidant Personality (Avp) is unknown outside of those that have been diagnosed with the condition and mental health professionals. Avp includes major Depression, Severe social anxiety, Fear of authority figures, extreme sensitivity to rejection, extreme sensitivity to criticism, and a host of other symptoms. This makes Avp one of, if not the worst mental health condition in the world.
It affects around 400 million people world wide. Another estimated 200 million people called Loved Ones are trying to be in successful relationships with people that have Avoidant Personality. This book will be a narrative memoir of my life and struggles with this condition.
The book is about 80% complete. The person that works with me on this will need to do more than simple grammar and spelling. I need help with concepts, structure, organization and publishing.
Avoidant Personality affects around 1 to 5% of the population of the world. This means that millions are affected by this mental health issue worldwide. To see the severity of this condition, you only have to turn on the news.
There are mass shootings, school shootings, shootings at businesses, and many other horrible crimes being committed. Most of the people that commit his atrocities are mentally ill in some way.
What sets this book apart from the rest is that it is written about Avoidant Personality by someone that actually has the condition.
Once the book is completed and published, I will make it available to people all over the world through my web site, a publisher if I can find one, Amazon, and any other method that I can find.

As I am sure you are aware, mental disorders are running rampant in our society. To see evidence of this, all one has to do is watch the news The news is full of stories of mass killings, suicide, suicide by cops, school shootings, and many other violent crimes.
Many of the people who carried out these atrocities were mentally ill and suffered from conditions like Avoidant Personality. These might have been able to be avoided if the perpetrators had received the help that they needed.
It is to this end that APRC wants to help. We are a small nonprofit with a very big vision. Our mission is to:
• Research and gather data on Avoidant Personality
• Raise Awareness of Avoidant Personality
• Teach Businesses, Churches, Governments, Schools, and anyone else who wants to learn about Avoidant Personality
• Help those that are suffering from Avoidant Personality
• Help Loved Ones who are trying to be in successful relationships with someone who has, or they suspect has, Avoidant Personality
