Project Overview

Our nonprofit is searching for a grant writer or talented copywriter to assist our team in reviewing a grant proposal, about our community healthcare nonprofit.

To implement this grant writing project, we'll need two meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy and review the application draft with you. We'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our document using the track changes function checking for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and creates a list of recommended changes to share with us. The project will conclude after up to two rounds of edits which the volunteer will make the agreed-upon changes to the document.

The Primary Care Unit (UNAP) medical clinic Guanin la Piedra, was built in 2011 and remodeled in 2019 to a 2 story modern building, to provide free community health care to a community of 1700 families, without access to medical services where the great majority live below the poverty line.

The community of La Piedra is divided into three sectors, with a total population of approximately 6,000 inhabitants. Our Community Center is located in La Piedra 1, where we currently offer educational programs. New school program (Escuela Bilingue Dra. Lynne Guitar), After school program for 200 kids, food program for 200 people a day, from Monday to Friday, Literacy program for 70 adults for 2 years, My Roof program, where more than 102 families got their houses fix and rebuilt, and basic health-care services to 1,300+ patients from both La Piedra 1 and La Piedra 2. We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the document that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format. (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.) We'll also send you the proposal and application guidelines.
