Accounting Systems Set Up
We're looking for a volunteer with experience setting up a bookkeeping system and/or software from scratch!
You'll help us set up regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices by spending just a few hours with us over a few weeks or months (relaxed timeline). In our first meeting, we'll share a detailed description of our existing financial record-keeping (which is just Google Excel) and reporting systems. We have an upcoming fundraiser and want to ensure that we have best practices that reflect clean, transparent, and organized recording.
Having someone help Creshendo with recording its accounting and donations will be invaluable for our nonprofit. It will ensure accurate financial tracking, enhance transparency, and maintain compliance with IRS regulations, crucial for our credibility and sustainability. This assistance will allow us to focus more on our mission of empowering refugees and sharing their stories, knowing that our financial data is well-managed and audit-ready.
So far, we have recorded all incoming and outgoing funds in a Google Excel sheet. My background in law ensures a detailed and organized approach, but I recognize the need to learn best practices for nonprofit accounting. This will help us maintain IRS compliance and manage our finances efficiently with our limited funds as a newly launched nonprofit.
