The A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems (AKRI) seeks a skilled volunteer to redesign our website to enhance its functionality, aesthetics, and user experience.

Key Objective:
Modernization: Update the website’s design (landing page minimum) to reflect a contemporary, professional look that aligns with AKRI’s brand identity.

-Once the design is established, an improved user engagement and satisfaction due to enhanced navigation and user experience.

The Project:
We’re embarking on an exciting journey to redesign our website, and we need a creative and skilled volunteer to lead this transformation. Your expertise will help us create a modern, user-friendly, and visually appealing website that effectively communicates our mission and engages our diverse audience.

Preparations:
-Needs Assessment: We will conduct a thorough assessment of our current website to identify its strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
-Stakeholder Input: We gathered feedback from key stakeholders, including board members, staff, and members, to ensure the new design meets the needs of our diverse audience.
-Content Inventory: We will complete a comprehensive content inventory to determine what content needs updating, repurposing, or creation.
-Technical Requirements: We have outlined the technical requirements for the new site, including CMS preferences, SEO considerations, and necessary integrations for event management, membership portals, and donation platforms.
-Project Team: We have assembled a dedicated administrator to oversee the redesign, including a project manager, content creators, and technical support.

Implementation Plan:
-Design and Development: The skilled volunteer will work closely with our administrator to develop a new website design. Regular check-ins and feedback loops will ensure alignment with our goals.
-Launch and Promotion: We will launch the new website with a coordinated promotional campaign to inform our community and drive traffic to the site.

The Institute's educational mission is the study of how unconscious thoughts and feelings significantly impact our lives when we are in groups—from family to workplace to nation. AKRI aims to deepen our understanding of complex social behaviors by providing experiential learning opportunities called Group Relations Conferences, as well as through research, publications, symposia, professional meetings, organizational consulting, experiential workshops, leadership training, and Group Relations consultant certification.
