BlackSpace, a national non-profit, aims to co-create social and spatial change in majority Black and multi-racial neighborhoods. We are undergoing a major programmatic shift and while we have a great website and brand identity - we need the story, flow, and pages to represent our new program. The Web Developer will be instrumental in leveraging our existing web and brand assets to update the BlackSpace’s website and adapt it for our new programs. This new role includes design development and project management in alignment with BlackSpaces ethics. The web developer will have an immediate impact on our brand and those of our clients, and will help solidify our industry-wide reputation for stellar design and community engagement. We have a general idea of our needs / desires and an identified project team of three staff from our team who would be working on the implementation milestones for the web refresh. So, we can start asap and would be ready to jump right in to agree on a work scope alongside the professional expertise of the web developer. We are launching our new program in October and so we have staff time set aside August and September to work on the website as a strategic part of the full application roll out. After the 6-9 weeks, we'd immediately use of the web refresh to launch a public camapaign and direct folks to our website to learn about it and apply October - February!
