Handbook Development and Onboarding Enhancement
The International Center for Advocates Against Discrimination (ICAAD) seeks dedicated volunteers to assist in reviewing and updating our existing employee, intern, and volunteer handbooks. As an organization that operates entirely remotely, we aim to create a more engaging and welcoming experience for our new team members. We believe that an enhanced onboarding process can transform newcomers into enthusiastic ambassadors for ICAAD from day one.
Skill Set Required:
Experience in developing and updating employee/intern/volunteer handbooks
Strong understanding of remote work environments and virtual onboarding
Ability to provide innovative ideas for engagement and connection in a remote setting
Knowledge of best practices for intern stipends and compensation
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Join ICAAD in our mission to combat discrimination and uphold human rights globally. By volunteering your expertise, you will play a crucial role in shaping the experience of our employees, interns, and volunteers, ensuring they feel welcomed, connected, and motivated from the start. Your contribution will help us build a supportive remote community where every member can thrive and become a proud ambassador of our mission.
Preparations We Have Made:
Existing employee, intern, and volunteer booklets are available for review.
A remote working environment with communication tools and platforms in place.
A dedicated team ready to support and collaborate with the volunteer throughout the project.
Implementation Plan:
Review Phase: The volunteer will review the current handbooks and onboarding processes.
Feedback and Ideation: The volunteer will provide feedback and suggest improvements, focusing on creating a more engaging and welcoming remote onboarding experience. They will also provide recommendations for intern stipends to ensure fair and motivating compensation.
Handbook Update: The volunteer will update the handbooks with the agreed-upon changes and additions.
Implementation: Once the updates are finalized, the new handbooks and onboarding strategies will be rolled out. Training sessions will be conducted to ensure all team members are familiar with the new processes.
