Updates to an HR Manual
Tanzania Rural Health Movement has an HR policy manual that needs to be reviewed by a volunteer. We are seeking an HR professional to edit and improve the manual, ensuring it aligns with our organization's needs and goals.
The organization's human resources policy manual has been used for about seven years. Due to changes in our operations, we need to review and make updates to address our current situation. The updated policy will assist smooth operations, accountability, and improvement in the organizational operations and our ability to serve underserved and rural communities. This project is a good investment of the skilled volunteer’s time because their expert contribution will directly influence the operational efficiency and culture of our organization. By improving our HR policies, the volunteers help shape a more sustainable and mission-driven organization, making a lasting impact on both the workforce and the community we serve.
We have a detailed and comprehensive existing HR policy manual which outlines all key areas, including recruitment, performance management, compensation, employee benefits, workplace conduct, and compliance with regulations. Any related materials, such as organizational charts, legal requirements, and standards, are also ready to ensure the volunteer has all the context they need. We have outlined the specific areas we need to focus on (e.g., compliance updates, clarity of policies, alignment with organizational culture) to guide the review process effectively. Key staff members, including the Executive Director, manager, and others are available to meet with the volunteer regularly. They will provide insights, answer questions, and help integrate the feedback into the policy. We have a strong commitment to improving our internal processes and ensuring that our HR policies foster a positive, productive work environment. This project is part of a broader initiative to strengthen our organizational capacity as we continue to grow.
