Heaven Has A Heart is preparing to launch our Hearts of Tomorrow Program in January 2025, with the first cultural trip experience planned for July 2026. This program aims to empower 10 young adults from Chicago, offering them the opportunity to engage in a transformative cultural exchange trip. Participants will explore global experiences, gain valuable life skills, and build cross-cultural relationships, broadening their perspectives beyond their local environment.
To bring this vision to life, we are seeking a skilled volunteer to assist us in identifying and writing grants that align with our mission. Securing funding will enable us to provide scholarships, cover travel expenses, and support the overall development of the Hearts of Tomorrow program.
Volunteer Skills Needed:
We are seeking a volunteer with experience in grant writing and nonprofit development. The ideal volunteer should be able to:
• Research potential grant opportunities that match our program’s goals.
• Develop compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate the mission, vision, and impact of the Hearts of Tomorrow program.
• Collaborate with our team to ensure all necessary information is gathered and presented cohesively.
• Provide strategic guidance on grant application timelines and submission processes.
Your expertise will help ensure that 10 young people from underserved communities in Chicago have the chance to embark on this life-changing journey in July 2026.

Starting in **January 2025**, this program will prepare participants for a **cultural trip in July 2026**, where they will experience new countries, engage in cross-cultural exchanges, and broaden their worldviews.
We need a **volunteer grant writer** to help secure the funding necessary to make this program a reality. Your skills will be vital in researching and writing grants to provide scholarships, cover travel expenses, and support the overall program development. You’ll work closely with our team to craft compelling proposals that communicate the transformative power of the Hearts of Tomorrow Program.
You’ll be part of a passionate, mission-driven team and see the tangible results of your work as these young people embark on their life-changing journey. By using your expertise, you can help open doors for a new generation of leaders.
1. Program Development:We have structured the program with a clear timeline, starting with the official launch in **January 2025** and the first cultural trip scheduled for **July 2026**. The program will include mentorship, education, and leadership training for the participants leading up to the trip.
2. We are building partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and potential host countries to create a robust cultural experience. These partnerships will provide the logistical support needed for travel, accommodation, and immersive cultural activities.
3. We have begun recruiting dedicated volunteers to support various aspects of the program, including fundraising, program coordination, and youth mentorship.
4. A comprehensive curriculum is being designed to prepare participants for the cultural exchange, including workshops on leadership, cultural sensitivity, and personal development.
Once the grant writing phase is completed and funding is secured, we will implement the following steps:
1. We will begin the selection process for **10 young people** from Chicago, focusing on underserved communities. Candidates will go through an application and interview process.
2. For 18 months, participants will receive mentorship and attend workshops to develop leadership and interpersonal skills. They will also prepare for the trip through cultural education sessions.
3. Trip Execution: In July 2026, the selected participants will embark on the cultural exchange trip. The itinerary will include cultural immersion, community service, and educational experiences.
