Lead a Rebranding Exercise
We are interested in a rebranding, since it's been about ten years since the organization last went through a rebranding. We are preparing to move to a new building in 2025, and 2025 is our 25th anniversary, so it's an exciting time for our organization. It's also a great time for a rebranding however needed.
You can review our current branding at https://milesperret.org/ (but note that the red on this page isn't a part of our current branding- it was suggested by the website developer to catch the viewer's attention). At a minimum, I feel that our logo's font and tagline can and should be improved. We're open to more changes as well (the logo design, colors, etc.).
In addition to the timing with our 25th anniversary and move to the new building, there are critical reasons for us to improve our branding. We've been around for almost 25 years, but still the community's awareness of our specific mission and impact is lacking. Some think we only work with specific groups of cancer patients (based on age, gender, or diagnosis), but we serve everyone who has been diagnosed with cancer in our community (or is being treated here). Some think we do research or provide treatment, but those aren't true. We have great name recognition, but unless people have experienced our services firsthand, they just know something vague like we help people with cancer. I see this rebranding as an opportunity to reinforce our specific impact, and for our community to realize that we aren't just nice to have; we are critical to so many people in need who are struggling and suffering due to cancer.
I've had a Taproot session about this initiative, and I've reached out to other experts for their feedback. Once it's complete, we'll plan for the timing of the launch of our new branding (likely to coincide with the move to our new building) and determine all of our resources and materials that will need to be updated.
