We want to stage a gala/fundraising event in May. We need support creating a production timeline to help manage the steps needed to undertake this labor-intensive initiative. Assistance with budget creation, vendor outsourcing, and project management templates would be extremely helpful, as well as guidance for best practices and tips on what to avoid. We would also benefit from any tips on enlisting community partners to sponsor the event.

This gala fundraising event celebrates our 30th anniversary as a vibrant community school in Jackson Heights, Queens. As one of the first charter schools in the City of New York, the largest public school district in the United States and among the largest in the world, our school is dedicated to developing civic-minded young leaders. Sharing our school accomplishments with the Jackson Heights community furthers our mission by elevating the voices of our alumni and current teachers and administrators to share all the "magic" that goes on in our classrooms.

We are working with Friends of Renaissance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the mission of our schools through fundraising and community engagement. They will provide financial and logistical support throughout the planning process.
