Design: 10 Year Anniversary Impact Report
The volunteer's expertise will focus on:
Design Layout: Developing a professional, visually compelling layout for a 15-20 page report that incorporates text, photos, artwork, and data visualizations. We already have an example of a report that we think ties well with our content and vision.
Brand Alignment: Ensuring the design aligns with our branding guidelines, including typography, color schemes, and messaging style.
Creative Collaboration: Incorporating creative elements, such as survivor artwork and family recipes, in a way that honors the stories and emotions behind them.
Final Production: Preparing files for high-quality print production and a downloadable digital version.
This report is vital for raising awareness, deepening donor engagement, and serving as a resource to showcase our vision of healing and justice. The volunteers’ contributions will directly support our efforts to expand outreach and share our story with diverse audiences.
1. Celebrate Impact: Showcase a decade of achievements, including the 39 healing retreats, peer support circles, trainings, and restorative justice initiatives we’ve implemented.
2. Deepen Engagement: Inspire our supporters, donors, and partners by sharing powerful stories and milestones, fostering stronger connections to our mission.
3. Expand Reach: Serve as a key resource for outreach to potential funders, collaborators, and new communities to amplify our programs and services.
4. Drive Advocacy: Highlight systemic injustices while centering the voices of those most impacted, calling for meaningful change and broader awareness.
Preparations for Success
• Internal Buy-In: We are fully invested in this project and understand its significance in driving our mission forward. We also have a clear vision of what we would like the report to look like (but we welcome the expert volunteer’s input).
• Gathered Materials: We will gather finalized content, including stories, artwork, data, and photographs, by the deliverable deadline set, ensuring the designer can focus entirely on the creative process.
• Aligned Efforts: This project aligns with our broader communication strategy, ensuring it complements our annual fundraising and advocacy goals.
• Previous Experience: We’ve successfully completed similar projects, including event reports and program evaluations, demonstrating our ability to collaborate effectively with creative professionals.
Implementation
The completed report will be shared through our website, donor mailings, events, and partner networks. It will serve as both a celebration of our past and a compelling call to action for the next decade of our work. We are launching a new website in 2025 and this report will be tied into the rollout plan. We also completed a 5-year strategic plan this year, that will tie into this project. By partnering with a skilled volunteer, we can ensure this report reflects the passion and dedication of Healing Justice while empowering others to join us in creating a more equitable future.
Clear Vision and Scope:
*A detailed project brief outlining our goals, target audience, and key messaging for the 10-year report.
*A breakdown of the report's content, including finalized text, images, artwork, and data.
Strong Collaboration:
*A dedicated point person to coordinate with the volunteer, answer questions, and provide timely feedback.
*Regular check-ins to review progress, share updates, and ensure the design aligns with our vision.
Readily Available Resources:
*Access to our branding guidelines, high-resolution images, and creative assets (e.g., survivor artwork, photographs, and graphics).
*Example of a report we love that can serve as inspiration for style and tone.
Defined Timeline:
*A realistic and clear timeline for project milestones and deadlines to keep us on track.
Gratitude and Recognition:
*We will acknowledge the volunteer’s work within the report and publicly (if they are comfortable), showcasing their contribution to Healing Justice’s mission.
By fostering an organized, collaborative, and inspiring environment, we aim to empower the volunteer to produce their best work while ensuring the report reflects the heart of our mission.
