Creshendo is looking for a communications expert to help refine and develop our key messaging. We need a clear, compelling way to talk about our work—one that resonates with funders, donors, and partners while staying true to the voices of the communities we serve.

The volunteer will help us:

Craft strong, repeatable key messages for different audiences (donors, corporate sponsors, grassroots partners, general supporters).

Identify effective phrases and framing that highlight our impact while avoiding donor fatigue.

Ensure messaging aligns with best practices for securing funding and fostering long-term engagement.

Provide guidance on how to integrate these messages into grant proposals, social media, and donor outreach materials.

This project will give us the language we need to inspire action, increase funding opportunities, and build stronger relationships with our stakeholders.

How will you set this project up for success?
We’ve laid the groundwork to make this a smooth and productive collaboration. Our team already has:

A strong understanding of our mission but needs help translating it into messaging that compels funders.

Existing communications materials that can be refined rather than built from scratch.

A dedicated team that meets weekly and is ready to integrate new messaging into our outreach.

The volunteer will be working with a structured, responsive team, ensuring that their contributions are put into action immediately.

Creshendo is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering refugees and displaced populations by amplifying their voices, challenging harmful narratives, and promoting self-autonomy over assimilation. Storytelling is at the heart of what we do, and our social media presence is a crucial avenue for spreading awareness, engaging supporters, and driving action.

With the guidance of a skilled social media content mentor, we will be able to:

Attract more funders by using language that speaks to their priorities (e.g., sustainability, measurable impact, innovation in refugee support).

Increase donor retention by crafting messages that foster emotional connection and long-term commitment.

Ensure consistency across all communications so that every interaction with Creshendo—whether online, in proposals, or in conversations—reinforces our mission effectively.

A skilled volunteer’s insights will help us communicate our work in a way that not only informs but inspires real action and investment in refugee empowerment.
