We, Hola Cultura, are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Washington, DC. We are seeking feedback on our recent grant application to the Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation for General Operating Support (GOS). We are searching for a talented grant writer or grant writing consultant to assist us with strengthening our proposal and narrative for future GOS grant opportunities. To implement this grant writing project, we'll need at least two meetings with a volunteer. While the application has already been submitted, we're looking for ways to strengthen our proposal and narrative to secure future GOS grant opportunities. We are also looking to learn new tools, tactics, and best-practices in order to improve our narrative to increase and diversify our funding. In our first meeting, we will provide you with a copy and review the application draft with you and discuss project goals.

By partnering with Hola Cultura, you’ll help sustain our work, essential to the communities we serve. At a time when local news coverage faces steep financial challenges, and with growing threats to funding, efforts like this are more critical than ever. Each year, the content we produce reaches more than 104,000 readers across local, national, and international audiences. Our work preserves, celebrates, and amplifies the voices, histories, and cultural contributions of the Latino community, particularly in Washington, DC. In a city undergoing rapid change and turmoil, we document stories that might otherwise be forgotten.

We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with the document that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format. We will also send you the proposal and application guidelines. You can visit our website at https://holacultura.com/ to read more about our organization. We are more than happy to provide additional resources and information upon request.

Hola Cultura challenges stereotypes and builds pathways to success for local Latino teenagers and young adults. We teach the power of storytelling, using it to foster society’s demand for the arts and humanities, and to assist in our community’s development through production of an online magazine and cultural events.
