Help a new nonprofit strengthen our financial management practices! We are looking for a volunteer finance professional to review our financial records from 2018 to the the present to ensure our books are in order.

We have been a grassroots organization with limited funding since 2018 and now, as a newly incorporated nonprofit, we want to ensure we are well set up for our future.

We predict that this finance project will take about 20 hours to complete and hope a volunteer could commit an hour a week to the project.

AUREA's mission is to serve the global aromantic-spectrum community through Recognition, Education, and Advocacy. One of our core values is transparency - by cleaning up our finances, we can communicate clearer and more transparently with the community we serve, centering the needs of the greater aromantic community in all of our work.

This project has been approved by board and team members.

We have gathered all existing financial records in preparation for review. The current person who handles financials will be available for an hour a week to help with questions and work alongside the volunteer. Additionally, the former treasurer of the organization is available via email for questions they cannot handle.

Organization Mission

AUREA’s goal is to assist in the growth of the aromantic community and advocate for its interests through furthering recognition and education internationally. To do so we assemble information about aromanticism, including vocabulary, research, online resources, links to in-person groups, and printable educational materials. We aim to be a contact point for researchers and media looking to explore the aromantic experiences. Our news feed informs about the ongoing developments in the community.
